Community Partnership Network

This web-based resource has been developed through a collaborative effort by the Greater Victoria Welcoming Community Partnership Network (CPN). As employers, managers and practitioners within the Capital Region, you will find useful information on cultural diversity, as well as practical tools to help you attract and retain immigrants in our workplaces and communities.

The Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) serves as the lead agency for the CPN. Our long term goal is to develop the Capital Regional District’s capacity to more effectively attract, welcome and integrate newcomers into our communities, workplaces, organizations and institutions. This project is made possible through funding from the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia.

Global by Design

Global by Design: The Competitive Advantage (May 14, 2010). This Leaders' Summit brought together a cross section of leaders and decision makers from education, health, community, municipal government and business sectors. The Summit was designed to generate a multi-sector dialogue and expand the community partnership network for immigration and socio-economic development in the Capital Region.

Community Dialogue on Diversity

On March 29, 2010 the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria convened a "Community Dialogue on Diversity" from 9am to 1pm at Victoria City Hall. Close to 80 people attended this lively and informative day of learning, exchange and relationship building.

Diversity Training & Learning

In today’s world, having a culturally welcoming environment is a key success factor for Victoria’s businesses, municipal governments, community agencies and health and education sectors that work with and serve an increasingly diverse community. ICA and its partners offer a series of no-cost in-depth diversity training workshops complemented by online learning modules to help your business or organization become more inclusive and successful.
