Illuminated Events

Please note: Luminara, our large scale lantern festival that was held in Beacon Hill Park each July from 2000 - 2009, is no longer running.

Due to major funding losses in 2010, we canceled the festival as it had been, and looked for ways to sustainably continue with the essence of the Luminara tradition.

In 2010, Luminara developed into a community event in three different neighbourhoods, James Bay, Fairfield and North Park. In 2011, we partnered with Intrepid Theatre, Saanich Parks and Recreation and the Esquimalt Lantern Festival to continue our community illumination.

In 2012 we presented the Moon Festival at Gordon Head on Saturday September 29, 2012, in partnership with Saanich Parks & Recreation.  For updates on the Moon Festival, please check back on our main Arts page.
