Luminara on the Map – A week of neighbourhood illumination

Illuminate your neighbourhood!

Lantern-making workshops for children and adults will be held in September at community centres in James Bay, Fairfield and North Park. Make your own simple lantern to carry or plan a more complex installation for your front yard. 

Neighbourhood maps will be posted at James Bay New Horizons, Fairfield Gonzales Community Centre and the ICA main office, where you can add your location, and see a map of lanterns around your neighbourhood!

Our Visioning Process

We began generating ideas for the transformation of Luminara in 2010 on Saturday January 30, at the Luminara studio.

In our next session on February 24 we invited community centres and community groups to strategize a new form for Luminara in the community.
