Our first community visioning session was full of great ideas, enthusiasm and lots of light! Results from the session will be posted soon, and upcoming sessions will be announced for late February and March. In the company of an incredible rainbow and unexpected thunderstorm, Luminara celebrated its tenth year of illumination, music and cultural diversity on Saturday July 25, 2009. Many thanks to our sponsors, funders and everyone who came out and sparkled up the night!

Inspired by the many festivals of light held in countries around the world, Luminara has become a tradition in Victoria, and every year the community has turned out in glowing costumes with homemade lanterns to find the candle-lit installations and local performers in the dark of Beacon Hill Park. This year we will not be in the Park, but watch this space for timing and location announcements in the next few months.
