The ICA Immigrant Seniors’ Group serves newcomer immigrant and refugee seniors who are looking to make new friends, practice their English, have fun and learn about issues important to multi-cultural seniors.

The goals of this program are to increase the community involvement and contribution of immigrant seniors and to provide them access to mainstream community and senior’s centres. We’re partnering with several mainstream centres and, once a month, will visit them for activities with the centre seniors. The 12 monthly program hours are split equally between centre visits, activities, speakers and orally-based English practice.
· Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm starting Sept. 26th
· Open to all immigrant seniors 55+
ELSA levels 1 to 3
Most of the seniors who joined us for this program last year came for an alternative to ELSA classes, either having used up their ELSA hours or being unable to commit to classes everyday. This is not, however, anything like a regular ELSA class. Half of the program in this class is English instruction, and the other half activities and speakers.
· Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from
12:30 to 2:30 starting Sept. 9th
· Open to all immigrant seniors 55+
ELSA levels 1 to 3
