Through The Lens: Immigrant Youth Perspectives
Immigrant youth and mentors at ICA came together to learn video and technology skills. They discussed issues that affect them, gained valuable lessons about creating healthy relationships, anti-bullying strategies, media literacy and much more. Video is a powerful media and producing these stories was an excellent way of communicating the challenges and experiences of being a youth when coming to a new country.
Many thanks to Nadia Alam, ICA Project Facilitator, for her enthusiasm and hard work to support the youth in finding their voices, and to Kirk Schwartz from MediaNet for providing the equipment, films, and expertise. We hope you enjoy the videos!
