Mikay the Fish

Running time: 2:20

Mikay the Fish is a beautiful stop-motion film about a small fish dealing with peer pressure. On the surface Mikay the Fish is a seemingly simple story about a little fish in a new river, but dig a little deeper and you will find a story about fitting-in, finding your own voice, and embracing your own unique individuality. This stop-motion took three days to shoot, and many more to edit. Each time a fish moves the filmmakers took a picture, the end result was numerous pictures that were stitched together in post-production to give the illusion of movement. It was a long process that took a lot of talent and patience to execute; a true labour of love.
