On Saturday, September 30, ICA staff, volunteers, and community members participated in the 2017 Ride for Refuge, an annual fundraising event hosted by the Cridge Centre for the Family. A total of 301 participants in 63 teams showed up to walk 5 km or ride their bikes 10 km, 25 km, or 50 km, raising money for 17 charities with the help of 126 volunteers. This year, a total of $94,150 was raised!
ICA had 3 teams registered for the 2017 Ride for Refuge. Team Diversity raised a whopping $2,735 among 9 team members; the ICA New Routes raised $1,916 among its 9 members; and the ICA Wheels of Thunder raised $640 among 13 team members. In total, 31 team members raised $5291 for newcomer youth programming at ICA!
