Learn English (LINC)

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) provides English language training from beginner to advanced levels for adult newcomers to Canada. LINC is funded by the Government of Canada and is FREE for eligible students.

Employment Services

Whether you are a newcomer to Canada or an immigrant who has been here for many years, our Employment Services team can assist with job search and skills training programs to help you find work in the Canadian job market.

LGBTQI2S+ Services

ICA can help you navigate the services and supports you need with social programs, one-on-one supports, navigating immigration, healthcare and employment. ICA has many services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender-diverse newcomers and refugees.

Private Sponsorship of Refugees

ICA's Private Sponsorship of Refugees program works with local sponsorship groups to support individuals and families coming to Canada through approved UNHCR and IRCC refugee programs.

ICA’s Employment Services offers the Workplace Occupation Readiness & Connections (WORC) for Women program to support Visible Minority Immigrant Women for their career success in Canada.

Gateway to Tourism and Hospitality for Newcomers

The Gateway to Tourism and Hospitality program supports career planning, skills training, certifications and job search assistance for newcomers wanting to develop a career in the tourism and hospitality industry in Greater Victoria.

Anti-Racism Training

The Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) helps individuals and organizations fight racism by providing information, training and tools to help businesses and organizations create a diverse, welcoming and equitable workplace and community.

Youth & Family Services

ICA provides immigrant programs for youth between the ages of 7-28. In addition, during the year, we host many different types of youth events, social gatherings and summer camps in and around the community to help build cultural connections.
