The Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) helps individuals and organizations to build cultural connections in our community. We provide information, training and tools to help businesses and organizations create a diverse and equitable workplace within a welcoming and inclusive community.
Tools for Equity: addresses racial disparities and employment barriers faced by immigrants and people of colour in the CRD. Through training and organizational coaching, the program will help organizations and businesses develop long-term equity frameworks, promising equity policies and institutional practices that strengthen management and employee competencies at all levels.
Bystander Intervention Training: offers practical training for individuals to help participants interrupt and address racism wherever they find it.
Community Partnership Network: The CPN is a group of more than 300 local agencies, businesses, and institutions committed to building diverse, welcoming, and inclusive communities in Greater Victoria.
Greater Victoria Local Immigration Partnership: focuses on making sure policies impacting governance, education, health care and housing in our community are a top priority.
“UWSVI believes that diversity, equity and inclusion are at the heart of a healthy and vibrant community.
As a long-term funder of ICA we are proud to partner on the Tools for Equity program to bring a positive solution forward.”

The Arts Program provides a non-threatening and democratic space through which to tell the newcomer story. It is a space to explore social issues relating to race, culture, identity, gender, religion, stereotyping and discrimination. Our objective is to hold conversations that engage community, and share ideas that help break down barriers and help build healthy and welcoming communities.
