If you are someone living with a disability in Greater Victoria, we invite you to join us for these free events and gatherings. These events are a part of our year- long Accessibility Program funded by Disability Alliance BC.

If any of these events interest you, email Tariro Murwira at tmurwira@icavictoria.org and RSVP.

Disability Accessibility Winter Events

Wednesday, November 23

Join our Accessibility group as we attend a performance by Rupi Kaur who has made her presence felt as “one of the most captivating poets of our generation.” Her poetry collections milk and honey, the sun and her flowers and home body have sold over 11 million copies. She is a poet and a performer, performing her pieces at world tours that are often sold-out. Her work is often about her personal journey navigating loss, trauma, relationships, and migration, interlaced with her exploration of femininity.

Reserve your free ticket for her performance!

Friday, December 2

The holidays are here again! Take some time out to join us for a Christmas dinner with the community. We will enjoy an interactive and fun arts and crafts workshop and learn to make holiday cards together. This event is organized by the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria’s Accessibility Program in collaboration with the University of Victoria Society for Students with a Disability (SSD).

Tuesday, December 6

Connect with community through art! Join us in collaboration with the University of Victoria Society for Students with a Disability (SSD), as we attend Beyond Van Gogh, an immersive experience. Van Gogh was a Dutch artist with a distinct post-impressionist style with over 2000 works of art. “The exhibit is part theater part digital art experience. It gives you a multi-sensory, storytelling experience of Van Gogh’s art.”

Reserve your free ticket for the exhibit!

We can’t wait to see you all!
