We work with youth, newcomers, First Nations communities, and the skilled trades to reduce barriers to employment.  We do this by providing bursaries, education supports, and tutoring to enable career advancements.

Royal Roads University

Youth at Work

Youth at Work is a 20-week employment support program designed to help francophone and bilingual youth (ages 15 to 30) integrate into the English-speaking labour market. The program offers employment readiness workshops, including six weeks of paid training, as well as education support and personalized career planning to help participants achieve their professional goals. Youth at Work is delivered by Collège Éducacentre, the only francophone college in British Columbia, and is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment and Skills Strategy.

VIATEC

VIATEC (Victoria Innovation, Advanced Technology & Entrepreneurship Council) is the hub for Greater Victoria’s tech community. We fuel the growth of local tech companies by providing resources, mentorship, and programs that accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship. Through our Startup Visa (SUV) program, we welcome and support international founders, helping them establish and scale their companies in Canada.
