Open Audition Call im:print 2024

“Any form of art is a form of power; it has impact, it can affect change – it can not only move us, it makes us move.” – Ossie Davis

The Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) is excited to announce a call for artists to create material for im:print 2024, a multidisciplinary showcase that weaves the personal stories of Indigenous, immigrant, newcomer and settler artists. im:print 2024 will be a performance that celebrates diverse talent and raises important questions about Identity, Equity, Belonging and Social Justice. Our world is in a state of flux, and it is clear that deep and meaningful change needs to be made if our communities are to be truly safe and welcoming places for Indigenous, Black, and People of Colour (IBPOC). We seek to challenge current beliefs, to be a catalyst for structural change and to reconnect people in community. After the success of both im:print 2019 & 2022, we look forward, once again, to working with community artists to produce another powerful performance.

“Art should comfort the disturbed & disturb the comfortable.” – Cesar Cruz
