Different community organizations and municipal governments offer programming throughout the year. Some programs are free and others require a fee. Explore different programming in our community:
Register for free annual youth* bus pass
* For youth between the ages of 13 and 18 years old
Food Security Program through Oaklands Community Association
Become a Library Champion with the Greater Victoria Public Library to gain volunteer work experience, meet new people, and connect with your community
Free Visits to Art Gallery of Greater Victoria
*Free on:
- First Saturday of the month from 10am – 5pm
- Every Thursday evening from 5pm – 9pm
L.I.F.E. Program (Free Recreation Passes)
Free* Dental Clinic through SNIWWOC
*Free for low-income, racialized women (and their accompanied minors) who are residents of the Greater Victoria area
Senior Support at Quadra Village Community Centre
*Support for adults 55 years and older and up, living in Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, and View Royal – assistance filling out forms, navigating healthcare and housing, and information + referrals.
Free air conditioners through BC Hydro
Canoo membership: free access passes and discounted tickets for events and attractions (museums, galleries, performances, etc…)*
*Membership available for:
- Permanent Residents who arrived in Canada within the past 5 years
- Immigrants who became Canadian citizens within the past year
- International students studying in Canada

At ICA we offer a variety of workshops, skills training and social opportunities to help you build a strong sense of community, learn new skills and improve your English as you settle into your new home in Greater Victoria.
LGBTQI2S+ Services
ICA can help you navigate the services and supports you need with social programs, one-on-one supports, navigating immigration, healthcare and employment. ICA has many services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender-diverse newcomers and refugees.
Immigrant Welcome Centre
From housing and education to employment services, ICA’s Settlement Services team can help newcomers navigate and connect with important resources and support.
